Man of Steel

The box office reveals DC Comic's attempts at movie magic are eclipsed by the success of Marvel, but Christopher Nolan is an excellent exception. Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy alone accompanied by his story depth and unique tone is in the same ball park as the entire Marvel franchise.

The Man of Steel movie has captured the hopes of comic fans and movie lovers. The trailer, which was released at the end of 2012, shows Christopher Nolan living up to his reputation. We see a dark Clark Kent who suppresses his noble abilities for the whims of the public. This aim at Clark's character is interesting and new. I'll admit, up to this point I haven't been, at any stretch, a Superman fan. The same was true for Batman. Christopher Nolan, although becoming distinguished more recently, has found himself alongside other distinguished filmmakers as Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, Michael Bay and J.J. Abrams, and has revived both franchises. Check out the full list of 2013 blockbusters.
This picture specifically shows a a fresh artistic vision of Superman. The suit itself has changed from the iconic suit Superman fans have in the past associated with Superman. One big change, is there is no red briefs included in Superman's wardrobe. The costume in its entirety is seen as blue lycra spandex head to toe. Another notable difference is the Superman logo has more of an alien feel. This direction makes sense when understanding Nolan's focus on Superman's past and his former home. As I said when worried criticisms surfaced against with The Dark Knight Rises, my trust is in Christopher Nolan. I can guarantee Man of Steel will not disappoint us.

  1. I am with you on the comments of Nolan but to be very honest the upcoming michael bay movie I do not think will be very impressing. It is a TMNT movie. Im hesistant. What are your thoughts? Bay fan or no?

  2. I am definitely a Michael Bay fan, but I'm also hesitant on his upcoming "Ninja Turtles." Not only is this childhood icon departing from mutants to aliens, but I recently learned Bay has rehired Megan Fox as a lead role. Why rehire Fox after firing her from the Transformers franchise?
